Expansion Engine
STAR make Expansion Engines is a single acting reciprocating type of engine. This produces the cold required for the plant. High pressure air enters through the inlet valve at the start of the downward stroke of the piston. On further downward motion, the inlet valve closes and entrapped air expands. During the upward stroke, outlet valve remain open and inlet valve remain closed.
In the downward stroke, air enters the cylinder and expands. In the upward stroke the expanded air is pushed outside. The Electric motor is used to start the machine, thereafter the engine is moved by the air pressure itself and during which time, and the Engine Motor retains the speed by acting as a brake. Since work is done by the air in rotating the fly wheel, it loses its heat content. Thus the air gets cooled. This cooling is more than in an expansion valve. An elementary factor of function of an expansion engine is to use dry and CO2 free air.
Air Compressor
(INGERSOLL RAND, KGK & KIRLOSKAR make)
These equipments are bought out as OE equipments. The Air compressors can be supplied as per customer requirement. All spare parts for the air compressors can be supplied at a very reasonable cost.
These compressors are Four Stage, horizontal, balance opposed, reciprocating, lubricated, water cooled cross head type along with V Belt, pulley, belt guard, side rail for motors. We also supply suitable motors with V Belt, belt guard and pulley.
Molecular Seive Battery
This equipment consists of two driers. Each vessel of the molecular sieve battery is filled with Molecular sieve of 1.5/3mm type 13 X. As the process air passes thru the molecular sieve, they will absorb water vapor and CO2 from the air. After some 8-10 hrs the Molecular sieve becomes saturated and will have to be regenerated. One will be in operation for 8 hours and the other will be under regeneration. Regeneration is done as heating and cooling by out-going nitrogen. An Electric regeneration gas heater and nitrogen blower are used for the regeneration.
Distribution Panel
Distribution panel for controlling all the electrical motors in the oxygen/nitrogen plant. All switch gears used in the panel are either Siemens or L&T make. Only copper bus bars are used in the panel for better conductivity and efficiency. Power factor meters can be included upon customer request. All Panels are powder coated before shipment.
Liquid Oxygen / Nitrogen Pump
STAR Liquid oxygen / Liquid Nitrogen Pumps are single stage, single acting piston pump. It is used for filling oxygen into the cylinders at 165 Kg/Cm2 or more. The pump is designed for assembly in air separation unit that works by pumping LOX and gasifying the same in heat exchangers for final filling as gas in cylinder.
Break Away Couplings For LPG Gas Service
These are used to protect loading and unloading facilities, hoses and prevent spills at the same time thereby eliminating possible fire hazards, accidents causing personal injury and product losses. Separation occurs by a simple pulling force on the hose line. It finds its application in fluid and gas transfer. These can be supplied in sizes from 50mm to 250mm in 150 class & 40mm to 75mm in 300 class.
